ITALIAN BLUEFIN TUNA
CHASING THE MONSTER
THE "MANGIANZA"

There is an Italian word which does not find any proper and litteral translation in English. This word is "Mangianza".
​
We could try to translate it as "Feeding Frenzy" or something along that meaning...
We use this word to decribe that mesmerizing, exciting and somehow shocking moment when the big predators start to prey in packs pushing all the baitfish to the top water.
​
Baitfish breaking the surface. seagulls and other birds diving crazy, hell and heaven breakthorugh lasting few minutes...
This is the Mangianza.
Autumn and Spring (Super-Premium Dates: March to End of April and September to End of October) are the best seasons to find the "Mangianza".
​
Our Captain Diego, probably the best Tuna Guide in Italy (but do not tell him, he is very humble!) will point our tuna charter to the preying Bluefin Tuna, until getting so close to cast right into the "feeding frenzy".
​
Spinning (Lure Fishing) is the most fun and productive fishing method, but one Tuna Fly Fishing Outfit will be available to try our luck on the fly if you are brave enough!

ANCONA AND THE WONDERFUL ITALY​

Our Adventure will take place in Ancona, one of the most beautiful and ancient Italian city on the Adriatic sea.
Its ancient city centre, its incredible food (seafood, pasta, meat and more...), its worldwide famous wine, its untamed nature, its mountain cliffs diving into a deep blue sea, its history and monuments,,, are just a few things that will surround us during our entire Fishing Experience in Italy.

SCHEDULE:

THURSDAY: Arrival to Ancona Airport (preferred) or Pescara . Transfer to the Hotel. Welcome and briefing with your Host for the Fishing/Activity Plan. Free Day or Tours. Dinner in Hotel.
FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: Breakfast, Meeting at the docks for the Full Fishing Day. Lunch on Boat. Relax or MiniTour and Dinner at Hotel.
MONDAY: Transfer to the Airport.

FISHING:
The Fishing Method will be Spinning (Lure Fishing). The best fishing spots will be chosen according to the Captain/Guide directions.
Gear&Tackle available on request.
